By-elections are a rare two-thirds majority for Imran Khan

Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has made a constitutional point about these expected resignations that even if the opposition submits the resignations of 150 members and these resignations are presented in a strong assembly and provincial assemblies, the National Assembly will not be dissolved constitutionally. Not only the Punjab Assembly but also the Senate elections will be held constitutionally in spite of these resignations as per the constitution while the government will easily hold by-elections constitutionally. This constitutional situation is absolutely correct of Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan. The same thing has been said by former Chairman Senate Wasim Sajjad. We have considered the tactic of getting the PML-N MLAs to resign, so it is understandable that in the distant past when there was a clash between Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Mian Nawaz Sharif and to overthrow the government. If the National or Provincial Assembly had to be dissolved, then the President had Article 50-2 / B of the Constitution to dissolve the National Assembly. These were the discretionary powers of the governor. Therefore, when the intention was to overthrow the central government or the provincial governments, the opposition played the game of assembly politics to make the overthrow of the government possible at the hands of the president. When these resignations came to the President and the Governor, the President used to break the National Assembly by using P2B to overthrow the Central Government and then the Governor would dissolve the Provincial Assembly. This constitutional method was used during the tenure of President Ghulam Ishaq Khan and the tenure of Governor Punjab Chaudhry Altaf Hussain. Dissolve National Assembly, Provincial Assembly Therefore, the PML-N and Maulana Fazlur Rehman are only happy that the resignations of their members from the assemblies will end Imran Khan's central government and the Usman Bazdar government in Punjab. Similarly, if the President himself and the Governor himself want to overthrow the Central Government and the Punjab Government, they do not have the same discretion as in the past. The Imran government and the Punjab government can be overthrown only if the Prime Minister recommends in writing to the President to dissolve the National Assembly, and the Chief Minister of Punjab makes such a recommendation to the Governor in writing. The opposition cannot succeed by launching a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister. The opposition's bitter experience regarding the chairman of the senate is on record.

By the way, it will be a great and rare opportunity for Imran Khan to hold by-elections due to the resignations of the opposition from the assemblies. Obviously, only the resigned opposition members will contest the elections again or they will boycott. If they contest the elections themselves, they will still lose a lot. The PML-N will not re-nominate some of them, but will bring in new candidates, then the current resigning candidates will also be candidates.۔ In some constituencies, the new PML-N candidate and the old candidate Imran Khan's candidate will win, provided that the tickets are given to the truly deserving people and if the opposition boycotts the by-elections in practice as it did in 1985. In the previous assemblies, the PPP had boycotted under President Zia-ul-Haq, so it would be Imran Khan's great fortune.Astrologers have been seeing Imran Khan as strong since January 7, 2021, provided he is alive and well. Thus, in the case of the constitutional method suggested by Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, Imran Khan's candidate in the Senate or an independent candidate can easily win and strengthen Imran Khan's hand in the Senate. After the boycott, Imran Khan's party candidate or independent candidate will easily win and come to the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly and form an alliance of Imran Khan and make the emergence of a two-thirds majority possible. If this happens then Imran Khan's governments can take the distorted constitution in the right direction by passing all the required amendments in the constitution easily. Will the members of the opposition consider resigning from the National and Provincial Assemblies as an appropriate political ploy after the expected scenario written above? It will be a loss, it will be a loss to those who resign and it will only benefit the ruling Prime Minister Imran Khan. A strong PTI will be born.
