Israeli Parliament Dissolved, General Elections Announced..



Tel Aviv: Following the failure of Israel's budget approval, parliament was dissolved, after which general elections are expected to be held in March next year. According to a foreign news agency, the speaker of the Israeli parliament,Yariv Levin, announced the dissolution of the parliament on TV and said that general elections would be held soon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government was due to pass a budget bill in parliament by 12 noon last night, but failed to do so. According to media reports, 47 members voted in favor of the budget bill and 49 against, while this is the fourth time in the last two years that the Israeli government has had to call a general election. It is necessary to hold elections within 90 days, after which elections will now be held in March.
