The intervention of the third force?

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while talking to media after meeting PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz in Lahore the next day said that Pakistan Democratic Movement will not create conditions to take advantage of them. The third force could intervene. These words of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari can be interpreted as political rhetoric but the question arises whether the third force is not involved in the politics of Pakistan and the current situation of confrontation between the PDM and the government. Yes, will it be able to reach its logical conclusion without the intervention of a third force.
The fact is that there is an atmosphere of confrontation between the PDM and the government and neither side is ready to be flexible in its stance. The PDM has also demonstrated its political strength in Lahore. This was the last meeting of the PDM against the government in Lahore. In Lahore, as in Multan, the government did not allow the rally, creating opportunities for the opposition to hold several meetings and rallies before the rally. PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz is credited with mobilizing the people of Lahore ahead of the December 13 rally. Political pressure on the government has increased after the Lahore political power show. What's more, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is still under the impression that it will not make any difference. After the completion of the protest rally, the PDM will move on to the next stages of its movement. They have the option of resigning from the assemblies, strike, wheel jam, long march and in-house change. This will increase the conflict. Despite the escalation of the Corona epidemic, the opposition is not ready to back down. No serious action is being taken by the government to rectify this situation. The government is also on track to escalate the conflict. The portfolios of ministers in the federal cabinet have been changed to deal with the next phase of the PDM movement. In particular, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has been given the portfolio of admission, the general impression is that the government wants to control the opposition through Sheikh Rashid. This could be tantamount to adding fuel to the fire of conflict. The statements made by Prime Minister Imran Khan and other members of his team about the opposition leaders are also provoking the opposition. Although it has been repeatedly said that the government is ready for talks, no concrete efforts are being made to hold serious talks with the opposition. As long as the atmosphere of conflict persists, it will have the same negative effects on the country's political and internal stability as well as the economy. It will also weaken the government and increase public unrest.
There is no legal or constitutional way to overthrow the government through protests, rallies, processions, strikes and long marches. The constitutional path to the seizure of power by the third force is also seemingly blocked as the bench that ruled against General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was broken but the sword of that verdict is still hanging. Now no court can confirm the seizure of power by a third force.

Now no court can confirm the seizure of power by a third force. The closure of both these routes means that political confrontation and confrontation will continue and it will continue to have dangerous effects on the country. Such a situation in itself justifies the role of the third force, which can be interpreted as political maneuvering. This role of the third force is present in the politics of Pakistan and will probably continue in the future. The PDM leadership is also reported to be in touch with a third force. Even the PTI rulers in their statements give the impression that they have the full support of the third force.
The main reason for the lack of political stability in Pakistan so far is that the political forces are looking at it. Even the political forces did not try to solve the problems on their own. At this stage today, if the government had brought the opposition to the negotiating table on purpose and the opposition had also agreed on an agenda for negotiations, the chances of a third force intervening might have been somewhat reduced. In practice, it relies on the intervention of a third force in its essence. By the way, Pakistan has long been proposing a broader dialogue between the military, parliament and the judiciary, which is desperately needed so that the institutions but the current state of the conflict cannot be allowed to deteriorate further in anticipation of this grand dialogue. Given the performance of the PTI government and the legitimacy of the opposition's protests, a way must be found with the help of a third force so that the country does not suffer further.
