Donald Trump is Advocating Martial Law, US Media Claim
US President Donald Trump is unwilling to concede defeat and is currently consulting with experts on how to overturn the election results, according to a report by CNN on Friday. He met with former security adviser Michael Flynn and other advisers, including Councilor Sidney Powell, in which he suggested to Trump that troops be re-run in states where election results are in doubt. Michael Flynn suggested to Trump last week that he should re-run the election by enforcing martial law instead of conceding defeat to Biden, said an unnamed participant in the meeting. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. A day before the meeting, Michael Flynn spoke to the media and expressed the same views, saying that martial law is not a practice unparalleled in American history.
Michael Flynn, who attended the meeting, was found guilty of lying to the FBI, after which he was pardoned by President Trump, and Sidney Powell claimed that the election was rigged on a large scale. Trump was considering appointing a special officer to investigate alleged vote-rigging during the US presidential election. However, US President Donald Trump denied the media reports on social networking site Twitter, saying that the news about martial law was misreporting.
