Tonight Will Be The Longest Night of the Year..

The Meteorological Department says today will be the longest night of the year and the shortest day of the year. The night between December 21 and 22 will be the longest night, with the duration of the night between Monday and Tuesday being 13 hours and 37 minutes. Similarly, Monday, December 21 is the shortest day of the year with a duration of 10 hours and 23 minutes.
According to the Meteorological Department, the sunset will be at 5:49 am today and the sun will be up at 7:12 am tomorrow morning. This occasion falls in the month of December every year and its dates can be any day from 20th to 23rd December. This year the opportunity is coming tonight. The time when the northern hemisphere has the longest night of the year is also called "winter solstice" or "northern solstice" in the language of astronomy. However, a common misconception is that the Earth's distance from the Sun is greatest at the time of the Winter Revolution, but this is not the case. In contrast, the fact is that the earth is tilted 23.4 degrees on its axis, while the earth's own axis also rotates like a rotating lot during axial rotation. As we orbit the sun, there is a time in the year when the earth's axis tilts to the north in the opposite direction to the sun.
Since the Earth's axial rotation is a continuous process, the tilt of the Earth's axis begins to reverse as soon as this opportunity arises, ie, the tilt of the Earth's northern hemisphere begins to return to the Sun. As a result, immediately after the Winter Revolution, nights become shorter and days longer.
