Sir Don Bradman's Test debut Cap Sold for 4.5 Lac AUD$..

 



Sydney: Former Australian cricketer Sir Don Bradman's Test debut cap has been sold for 450,000 AUD$. According to foreign media reports, Sir Don Bradman's debut cap was bought by Australian businessman Peter Friedman. Sir Bradman's debut cap was put up for auction for a week but managed to reach the reserve price. Don Bradman's debut cap was expected to fetch between 1 and 2 million AUD$.. Sir Don Bradman was presented with his debut cap against England in 1928. Earlier, during his last tour of England in 1948, Bradman's baggy green cap was auctioned in 2003 for 425,000 AUD$. Sir Don Bradman, better known as 'Don', who played 52 Tests for Australia from 1928 to 1948, is considered the greatest cricketer in the world and has a Test batting average of 99.94 over 72 years of his retirement. Earlier this year, legendary Australian Leg spinner Shane Warren sold his Baggy Green Cap for 1 million in support of the Bush-fire.
